Go through your catalog of image files. Take it one folder at a time. Look at the photos there. Is there anything there you can pitch, get rid of? We all have photos that are either duplicates of others in a series or just plain old mistakes. Duplicates most often occur because we were afraid that focus wasn't spot-on or exposure wasn't optimal or someone, something moved when we pushed the shutter. Perhaps there is a series you can winnow down to only a few selects rather than 110 mostly "also ran's". Look hard at your duplicates. If there is no good reason to keep them get rid of them. I don't care if storage is cheap! Is your time of any value? One day you will be forced to make a decision; it is likely you will not have the luxury of time for a considered assessment then. Do it now and be done with it. Don't just remove this clutter from Lightroom's catalog; delete from disk! |
