Though Lightroom seems to 'learn' from each new spot-removal exercise it goes through, making 'better' and better choices within the photograph for sampling, more complicated fixes I find require our participation in making their repair turn out doggone close to perfect. (Keep in mind how difficult this process would be in the past – with a tiny brush, a bright light overhead as you peer through a magnifying glass attempting to match precisely the color or monochromatic detail surrounding imperfections before you. Many world renowned artists have simply chosen to exhibit their work 'warts and all', as is, rather than to put themselves through the hell of 'spot toning' with brush and ink! These advances in both Photoshop and Lightroom are truly remarkable.) |
